An Open Letter From Author and Observer, For Tonight

Thank you to all the fans and friends who sent cards, flowers, and ideas about how to celebrate our return. So many of you are so passionate and creative that we are able to consistently produce great shows. We are so happy to bring the show to California for the first time in more than 20 months, as well as to share it with Denver for the first time in over five years. Thanks again to each of you for reading my blog for the past 13 years.

Kudos to The Times-Standard, Farm Journal, and website. Without you, we never would have gotten the word out that it was coming back.

Our hope is to bring you the show again in a couple of years. But this just isn’t the same as going back to the theater a couple of times. We are happy to greet you in person.

A big thank you to the California Ballet for giving us the extra venue that would allow us to do it. And a massive thank you to the Marin Arts Center for wanting to give us an opportunity to come back there, and a massive thank you to the company for allowing us to take advantage of your beautiful Center.

We hope you enjoyed the show, because there’s more to come. Next up is The Nutcracker on January 26, followed by Spring Awakening, one of my favorite shows, on February 16. Our summer shows are always fantastic, as well.

With all of that work, it’s a very exciting time for us. We hope you enjoy what we’re doing and come out to our next show.

Thanks to all of you for your continued support.
